What inspired you to get into the financial advice industry?

What motivated me to get into financial advice is my desire to help people. I enjoy the fact that people come to you wanting guidance and are unsure of what to do. It is good feeling to be able to point people in the right direction and take away something that has probably been stressing them out for a long time.

What’s your favourite part of working with clients?

Similar to the above, but it is taking something off their plate and getting them to tick off big goals, like purchasing property, saving for their retirement, or planning for inheritance estate planning. Once you sit down with a client and talk through these things out loud, you can see the weight lifted off their shoulders. It is a really special feeling, and one that everyone benefits from.

Is there a unique approach or perspective that sets you apart?

What I think sets me apart from others is that I like to focus on the small things. Remembering kids names, anniversaries, favourite holiday destinations, and so on. These details may seem irrelevant, but when you want to build an ongoing relationship and talk to someone regularly, they go a long way in building rapport and maintaining connections.

Working with Humboldt is very interesting. There are so many different people with diverse approaches, but everyone shares the same goal: the best outcome for the client.
